I have a slow connection - is your site information available on CD-ROM?
Yes, my site is available on a CD-ROM. If you would like a copy, I charge £7.50 including UK postage. Overseas rates to be added to the cost.

Updates will not be available as such, but there will in effect be a new issue whenever I get time to dump the current site to CD-ROM. So you will be getting as up to date version as I can manage and can buy another copy when ever you wish!

Is it possible to get a video copy of the I film I saw at the Belfry/ Marston Green?
Yes Mr Mosey's films of the building of the swimming pool and skating rink and the other things you saw at the Belfry Reunion is available from Richard Statham - I think he charges about £7.50. Or a DVD for £5. If you want one contact me by email and give me your details so I can put you in touch with each other.

A few hints for using the Search Box If you are not getting the result you want, consider:

  • Less is more - only put in one or two words.
  • If it is someone's name try just using the surname - as not all names are recorded the same.
  • Leave a space between words. e.g. "conrad roe" not "conradroe"
  • N.B. There are no members' emails except for mine - email me for this information - contact me.
  • "Photos" - too general - go to the Index page and choose collections from there.
  • Do use the Index as much as possible because a search for "Reunions" for example will bring up 327 results!
  • "emails" and "addresses" will always fail - I do not keep personal information on the site apart from my own email and telephone number and George Cooper's phone number (at his request.)
  • Try variations like 'Mc Donald' 'McDonald' 'Mac Donald' 'MacDonald.'
  • "John" produces anyone with the name John.
  • "John Smith" produces anyone with the name John or Smith. e.g. John Smith, John Thomas, John Joines, Ivor Smith, Fred Smith
  • Try a mis spelling, especially for foreign names.
  • It is not intelligent it will only search for what you put in, so "Teachur" or Teachwr" will not produce Teacher!
  • The search engine is not case sensitive so "CoNraD roE" will still work.
  • And finally it is not perfect as it would take far too much of my time to make it so.
